Asian Salmon Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise

Canned goods are your friend, especially when combined with other fresh and delicious ingredients! Asian Salmon Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise are a quick and easy weeknight meal that comes mostly from the pantry.  Make the sliders a day or so in advance if you’d like and store them in the fridge till you’re  ready to cook them.

Canned Salmon is inexpensive and packed with Omega 3 Fatty Acids.  If you have read much of this blog you know we eat a lot of Salmon around here, whether it’s wild, farm-raised or canned.  It’s good for my middle aged skin!

These Asian Salmon Sriracha Sliders need to be refrigerated for at least 30 minutes before cooking, otherwise you run the risk of them falling apart in the pan.

(The fallen apart version is still very tasty, just not so photogenic for my Photographer/TechGuy/Husband.  He likes his food PRETTY!

The recipe for Salmon Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise is great with either chopped spinach or arugula.  If your family hates both you can leave them out, but I urge you to at least give it a whirl.  The  greens pretty much disappear in these burgers and no one will be the wiser!   

I like to serve Salmon Sliders on miniature buns with lettuce, red onion, cucumber and a dollop of Sriracha Mayonnaise. (Just combine two parts mayo to one part Sriracha Sauce.)  Asian Salmon Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise are also good with a squirt of Sweet Chili Sauce!  

Most of my recipes make HUGE portions thanks to my rapidly growing boys but this one only made about eight sliders.  Double the recipe if you’d  like!

Asian Salmon Sliders with Sriracha Mayonnaise

4 servings


  • 1 14 ounce can Salmon, drained.
  • 1 Teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce or other hot sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Sweet Chili Sauce (In the Asian section of the grocery store)
  • 1 Tablespoon Asian Fish Sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cups chopped Baby Spinach or Arugula
  • 1 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 4 Tablespoons Low Fat Mayonnaise
  • Fresh Grated Pepper to Taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil .
  • Garnishes: Whole wheat slider buns, cucumber slices, red onion slices
  • For Sriracha Mayonnaise combine three parts mayonnaise with one part Sriracha Sauce.


  1. Combine all ingredients except for oil in a bowl and use your hands to squish it all together.
  2. Combine Mayonnaise and Sriracha, refrigerate
  3. Heat oil over medium heat in a heavy skillet. (Cast iron if you have it)
  4. When the oil shimmers, add sliders.
  5. Cook five minutes per side.
  6. Serve on toasted whole wheat slider buns with Sriracha Mayonnaise, sliced cucumbers, and red onion.
